TWWS Annual Wargame Show
... what about 2023?
The good news is that Cavalier will return on the 4th Sunday in February, which is the 27th February 2023. We will now start to contact all the Traders and Clubs who have supported us in the past, to ascertain who is still operating and interested in coming to Open Days. It is noticeable that the numbers of traders at the shows we have attended has dropped, so we will also be talking to traders who have not been to us before and perhaps widening the selection of what is available.
We have already decided that there will be a Bring and Buy, which will broadly follow the arrangements we had at the last Cavalier back in 2020.
More news will follow soon.
The Society has run an Annual Wargame Show for many years. The show caters for exisiting wargamers and hopes also to showcase the hobby to a wider public audience. We have in the past recruited new members after one of our shows.
We aim to have a wide variety of traders from the wargaming hobby, as well as about a dozen games, these being split between Participation and Demonstration games. A Participation game allows visitors to take part in an ongoing game, and we encourage visiting Societies to offer such games when they book to come to Cavalier.
Given the understandable uncertainty about Cavalier for 2023, anyone interested in hiring a trade space or putting on a game at Cavalier in 2023 is recommended to contact us using the email link shown on this page below. We will keep a record of everyone who gets in touch and keep you informed of developments as soon as we can.
Cavalier is held at The Angel Centre, Angel Lane, Tonbridge, Kent TN9 1SF.
The Angel Centre is 5 minutes on foot from Tonbridge Station and also benefits from being easily accessible with extensive free parking. The Centre has step-free access with a lift to the upper floor where the refreshment area is located. The upstairs area is also a good spot to go and examine your new purchases is comfort while enjoying a coffee (and bacon sandwich if you are feeling naughty!). A set of directions and maps to get to the Angel Centre can be downloaded from the link below. The final page is a sketch map of the immediate area round the Centre and is also useful for visitors arriving by rail or on foot. There is also a link to Google Maps which may be useful.
